Here are the sites rules. If you do not obey them, you will be punished. They are pretty basic and very common.
RULES:
- Stay active. If you don't reply to activity checks, your account will be deleted
- Before you begin role playing, please wait until your character has been accepted. If you do not wait, your posts will be deleted by me or another admin.
- No adding to the canon characters family. If you absolutely want an addition, pm me first.
- NO SPAMMING!
- Two canons per person. Originals are unlimited.
- One character per account. Make a new account for each character you make.
- Please post from your character's account. We know everyone gets lazy every once and a while. But don't post for all your characters off of one account.
- If you want a canon character, please be prepared to be active. It will mess with the story line if you are never here to post. If you are a canon character and are unactive for a month without notice, your character will be given away.
- If you're going to have R rated posts with lots of violence, sex, drug use, or excessive alcoholism then make sure to set a warning before hand (ex. Title(R RATING)
- Swearing is allowed, however we don't need it to be every other word. That gets offensive and annoying.
- Post don't have to be extremely long like some sites require. However, you should have AT LEAST 5 sentences in a post. You can't just say "She smiled and walked away." and leave it at that. Even if you're ending the thread, make it more descriptive like: "She smiled wickedly and walked in the other direction. All the while thinking of what she'd done and wondering if it were a mistake. Her pace quickend as she got away from him." Its not so hard to make a long post. If you get stumped, talk about what your character is thinking, smelling, doing, wearing, etc. Always try to add in the 5 senses. It makes for a longer post and more interesting to read.
- NO GODMODING OR POWERPLAYING!!! This is when a person controls another persons character. It is extremely annoying for someone to do that. Ex.: "Anna shot Jack in the chest and killed him. Then she started beating on Will until he bled." Thats a nono. If someone is doing this, contact an admin imediately.
What you COULD SAY is: "Anna shot at Jack, hoping her aim was right, then turned on Will to throw a few punches at him". That is acceptable. - You cannot kill another persons character without permission. If you do want your character to die, pm an admin first and then figure out a way to do so that fits into the story. CANONS CANNOT BE KILLED WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE!
- If you're looking for a password its" vangs
- If you want your character to have a child, you must apply for one. Vampires may have children with other vampires, werewolves with werewolves, and humans with humans(of course). Vampires and werewolves cannot have children together. They can however have children with human, making them either half vampire or just another human.
- Werewolves can only be created by being bitten or if it is in family history. In which case, the werewolf gene must skip one generation.
- If you decide you want to give your child up for adoption, we ask that you really consider it for awhile. You will be able to chose if you want a child to go to whoever asks for it, but after you give them up officially, you cannot get them back.
- Humans don't know that the mystical world exists. They have myths of course, but they don't know for sure. If a human finds out, they must be killed or turned before they can spread the news. Vampires and werewolves must be in hiding. They can only be around humans on days they can blend in.
- Disclaimer: I am taking some of the traits of vampires and werewolves from Stephanie Meyer's version from the Twilight Saga. I like the idea of vampires being able to go into the sun without burning and that humans can't kill them. Vampires can also have special abilities (reading minds, seeing the future, etc.). If you haven't read the Twilight Saga, you should go read that now. You won't be disappointed. Werewolves will also have more control over their wolf form. They won't share thoughts but can communicate. After they are bitten, they don't make the first change until the next full moon.
- For Vampires, age is unlimited. Humans, werewolves, and half vampires all have to die eventually, as sad as it is. Werewolves and half vampires, however, can live much longer than the average human. Maybe a couple hundered years.
- Graphics may not be larger than 500x500 pixels to avoid stretching the board.
- Chatting in threads is not allowed. Example: "What's up, what you do after school?" No. There's MSN, AIM, YIM, CBox, PM's, etc, for that. The threads are meant for role play only. That type of spam is only allowed in the OOC section on the bottom category of this site.
- Don't irritate people by asking to post with you. Ask once and if you don't get a reply, just assume its a no.
- You must make a face claim before posting. And make sure before requesting a celebrity that it hasn't already been taken. It's an annoyance to have to deal with that. Also, make sure to use the proper format to make it simple for the admins. We already have enough to deal with.Consequences:
- The first offense will include a PM from the admins. It will explain what you did wrong, a pretty basic warning.
- The second offense will include another PM and possibly a short suspension, depending on what you did. You will be notified, and an admin will be happy to talk to you in case there was a mistake.
- The last and third offense will include an e-mail, and permanent banning. Of course, there are 2 1/4 warnings, for minor things.
No one wants to deal with people who don't follow the rules. If you play nicely, we will have a wonderful time.
Thank you for reading, and enjoy the site.
